Festival Season Clean-Up at Norlight!

The last few months have been flat out for us at Norlight, as we’ve been hard at work cleaning and restoring canvas tents from this year’s festival season. Professional cleaning and aftercare is a huge part of what we do, and it’s something many of our clients rely on year after year to protect their investment.

While Glastonbury Festival was blessed with beautiful sunshine, the same can’t be said for every UK event this summer! We’ve welcomed tents back in all sorts of conditions - from heavily muddied canvas to tents affected by prolonged damp storage. As always, we’ve seen plenty of mouldy tents arrive looking past their best, only to leave our facility fresh, clean and ready for their next outing.

Why professional tent cleaning matters

Canvas tents are designed to last, but only if they’re properly cared for. Left untreated, mould and ground-in dirt don’t just affect how a tent looks, they can weaken the fabric over time and create an unpleasant environment for guests.

Our specialist cleaning process removes dirt, mud and mould safely, using treatments that are effective, environmentally responsible and safe for people. As part of our aftercare service, every tent is also reproofed to restore waterproofing, ensuring it’s fully protected for the seasons ahead.

Increasing capacity and turnaround

To keep up with demand and maintain our reputation for efficient turnaround, we’ve recently invested in two additional industrial washing machines, bringing our total to four. This allows us to handle large volumes of tents, canopies and marquees quickly and professionally, even during peak periods.
