Warranty Policy
1. Introduction
This Warranty Policy applies to all tents and related accessories (“Products”) supplied by Norlight Ltd.
This warranty is a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty offered by Norlight Ltd and is in addition to, and does not affect, your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or your rights in relation to defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
2. Warranty Coverage
Norlight Ltd warrants that all components of its Products will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date you receive the Product (“Warranty Period”).
This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable.
3. What Is Covered
During the Warranty Period, Norlight Ltd will, at its discretion:
(a) repair the defective component;
(b) send replacement components free of charge; or
(c) if repair or replacement is not possible, offer a replacement Product of equivalent specification.
Reasonable labour or installation costs may be covered where required to complete a repair that is due to a confirmed manufacturing fault.
We may request photographs, a description of the issue, and proof of purchase prior to authorising a claim. In some cases, faulty goods may need to be returned to us for inspection. Where inspection is required, Norlight Ltd will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping.
4. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage, defects, or deterioration caused by or resulting from:
• misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper installation;
• use in extreme or inappropriate weather conditions (including gale-force winds, storms, flooding, falling branches, or other environmental hazards);
• commercial hire use, festival use, or use by the general public unless expressly agreed in writing;
• mould, mildew, condensation, or water ingress caused by improper storage or ventilation;
• general wear and tear or cosmetic changes not affecting function;
• accidental damage, cuts, punctures, burns, or tears;
• wildlife, pests, animals, or insects;
• modification, alteration, or use of non-approved accessories;
• failure to follow assembly instructions or product care guidelines;
• leaving the tent unattended in adverse conditions.
The warranty applies only to defects present at the time of manufacture. It does not apply to damage occurring after the Product has been delivered unless caused by a manufacturing defect.
5. Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, please email info@norlightglamping.com with:
• your order number or proof of purchase/ invoice;
• photos or videos clearly showing the issue;
• a description of the problem and how it occurred.
We will review the information and advise whether the issue is covered under this warranty. In most cases, we will send replacement parts or arrange repair. Where inspection is required, we will provide instructions for returning the faulty item.
6. Limitations of Liability
Norlight Ltd shall not be liable for:
• loss of business, loss of earnings, or loss of profits;
• reputational damage;
• costs incurred where Products are used commercially or hired to others;
• consequential or indirect losses;
• damage arising from site conditions, weather, or improper use.
The maximum liability of Norlight Ltd under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.
7. Aftercare Services
Norlight Ltd offers professional cleaning, mould removal, patch repair, and re-waterproofing services for Products outside the scope of warranty cover. Quotations are available on request.
