A brilliant few days at The Showman’s Show!

What a fantastic couple of days we had at The Showman’s Show at Newbury Showground. It was our first time exhibiting there, and it honestly exceeded our expectations in every way!

The Showman’s Show is the UK’s biggest trade event for the outdoor events industry, bringing together festival operators, glamping providers, event suppliers and venues from across the UK and beyond. We wanted to showcase Norlight’s NEW innovative products and connect with people who are just as passionate about outdoor experiences as we are.

Showcasing our latest designs

We teamed up with our neighbours Phola, whose wood-fired hot tubs and chill-out seating worked perfectly alongside our setups (who doesn’t love a hot-tub!). Together, we created a welcoming, practical and eye-catching space that really drew people in.

We displayed:

•    Our unique and classy 7m black yak-hair canopy, which proved its worth immediately by keeping everyone dry during some classic Showman’s Show weather!


•    Our 5m inflatable yurt, which sparked a huge amount of interest thanks to its speed of setup (in just over 3 minutes!) and generous interior space.


Both products generated far more interest than we anticipated, with visitors ranging from large festival glamping operators to boutique wedding venues, campsite owners and event professionals. We were also really encouraged by the level of European interest, with several conversations already developing beyond the UK.

Strong connections and real results

One of the highlights was forming a new connection, Ziggu Camp, a major glamping operator at Glastonbury Festival. We’re excited about the conversations that followed and the potential to work together in the future.

The response to our products was really encouraging:

•    We sold our inflatable yurt on the day


•    A wedding venue placed an order for five inflatable tents


•    We received numerous enquiries for canopy purchases


•    And we completely ran out of brochures (a lovely problem to have!)


Since the show, we’ve been busy following up leads and holding meetings to explore further collaborations and supply opportunities. It’s been great to see so many conversations turn into genuine next steps.

Looking Ahead

The Showman’s Show was not only productive but genuinely fun. It reinforced why we do what we do and how much demand there is for high-quality, well-designed canvas structures in the outdoor events world. We’ll definitely be booking again next year, and planning is already underway.
