Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions shall apply to all tents and related accessories supplied by Norlight Ltd. These statements apply in addition to other material provided on the website. Please read them carefully before placing your order and keep a copy for future reference. By placing an order with us or accepting delivery of our products, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
In these Terms and Conditions “you”, “your” and “yours” refer to any person purchasing goods from Norlight Ltd, and “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Norlight Ltd.
1. How to Pay
Our preferred method of payment is by electronic bank transfer but we can also facilitate card payments if required.
If payment of invoices is not received, we reserve the right to recover any costs, commissions or fees incurred for the collection of payment including those which may be incurred by using a debt collection agency.
2. Availability
All goods advertised for sale are subject to availability. Our website will normally ensure that the “out of stock” sign goes up as soon as we sell out of individual products. In the rare event that we are unable to supply the goods shown as available on the website, we will contact you as soon as possible. Where for any reason, products are not available, we may propose to provide you with similar products of similar quality and price. The choice is yours. If you do not wish to accept a substitute product, we will return any funds paid as soon as possible. If for any other reason we cannot accept your order, we will refund your payment as soon as possible.
3. Specifications
Sometimes product specifications from the manufacturer may change in a very minor way without prior notice. Any significant changes will be notified on this website. All colours, sizes, weights and measurements shown on the website are approximate but every effort is made to ensure that they are as close as possible to what is shown.
4. Cancellations
4.1 Your Legal Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer and you placed your order online, by telephone or by email, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods. We may make a reasonable deduction if the value of the goods has been diminished by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
4.2 Cancellation Outside the Cooling-Off Period
If you wish to cancel your order after the 14-day cancellation period has expired, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 10% of the total order value. This fee covers administrative costs and restocking.
5. Pricing
All prices are shown in UK GBP. Prices may be changed from time to time without notice but all orders (including deposits) will be fulfilled at the price listed at the time the order is placed. Delivery charges are extra and will be notified at the time of placing the order.
If you wish to order 5 or more products, please contact us as there may be a discount available for multiple purchases, at Norlight Ltd’s discretion and subject to availability.
6. Shipping
Unless otherwise stated, domestic shipping costs from our address in Wells will be charged in addition to the price of the products. Shipping costs will vary according to the delivery address, weight and size of the products ordered, and the method of shipping preferred by the buyer. Our shipping companies will generally be well known carriers selected for cost and service quality and their charges are passed directly on to our customers. We use standard delivery unless you ask for an urgent delivery.
Orders will normally be dispatched within 2-5 business days of being ordered. We will send you by email the estimated time of arrival (ETA) and tracking details from the carrier as soon as products are dispatched, but we cannot guarantee ETA or tracking details as the accuracy of these is in the hands of the carrier. Sometimes shipments are delayed in transit despite best endeavours by all parties, unfortunately we have no control over delays of goods once they are in transit.
We can also ship to most overseas countries and we can provide a quote for this if required.
7. Damage in Transit
If you take delivery of a Norlight product and the contents have been damaged in transit, you should notify Norlight Ltd immediately by email at info@norlightglamping.com. We will offer/ issue a full refund once the package is returned to us for inspection, including the normal cost of return shipment. Alternatively, we can pay for repairs if the damage is minor and we agree to resolve the matter in this way.
8. Warranty for Defects
Norlight Ltd warrants that all components of its Products will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date you receive the Product (“Warranty Period).
The warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable.
What Is Covered : During the Warranty Period, Norlight Ltd will, at its discretion:
(a) repair the defective component;
(b) send replacement components free of charge; or
(c) if repair or replacement is not possible, offer a replacement Product of equivalent specification.
Reasonable labour or installation costs may be covered where required to complete a repair that is due to a confirmed manufacturing fault.
We may request photographs, a description of the issue, and proof of purchase prior to authorising a claim. In some cases, faulty goods may need to be returned to us for inspection. Where inspection is required, Norlight Ltd will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping.
What Is Not Covered :This warranty does not cover damage, defects, or deterioration caused by or resulting from:

misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper installation;
-
use in extreme or inappropriate weather conditions (including gale-force winds, storms, flooding, falling branches, or other environmental hazards);
-
commercial hire use, festival use, or use by the general public unless expressly agreed in writing;
-
mould, mildew, condensation, or water ingress caused by improper storage or ventilation;
-
general wear and tear or cosmetic changes not affecting function;
-
accidental damage, cuts, punctures, burns, or tears;
-
wildlife, pests, animals, or insects;
-
modification, alteration, or use of non-approved accessories;
-
failure to follow assembly instructions or product care guidelines;
-
leaving the tent unattended in adverse conditions.
The warranty applies only to defects present at the time of manufacture. It does not apply to damage occurring after the Product has been delivered unless caused by a manufacturing defect.

9. Returns & Refunds
If you are a consumer and purchased your product online, by telephone, or by email, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods, We are not obliged to refund any part of any item that has been used.
Condition of Returned Goods
You may inspect the goods to determine their nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would in a shop. If the goods have been handled beyond what is necessary for such inspection, we may make a reasonable deduction to reflect any diminished value.
Refunds
We will process refunds within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. Refunds will be made to the original method of payment.
Exclusions
We cannot offer refunds for goods that are returned damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or use in unsuitable weather conditions
10. Refund of Deposits Due to Delays
A full refund of a deposit will only be made if you decide to cancel your order within the statutory 14 day cancellation period from the date of order or if Norlight Ltd fails to deliver an item within the timescale quoted at the time of the order. Any other kind of deposit refund will be offerred at the discretion of Norlight Ltd. If a factory shipment to our UK address is delayed, we may ask you to accept a later delivery from us, but that is your choice. If you do not agree to a later delivery, we will refund your deposit in full.
11. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the goods received are faulty or misdescribed, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us when exercising your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
12. Responsible use of Norlight Tents and associated Products
As we have no control over how our tents and other associated products are used, we cannot be held responsible for injuries to users or damages to the tents in use such as caused by adverse weather (including high winds and flooding) or by unwanted animals, wildlife or other pests entering a tent or events including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or other events of force majeure. Users need to exercise care in selecting a camp site and in using the product. In relation to weather damage, Norlight Ltd cannot be held responsible for injury to users or damage to our tents or their contents for tents left up in inappropriate weather conditions such as high winds or in low lying areas subject to potential flooding or by falling trees or power lines. Please always heed weather warnings. Norlight products are made from quality materials and our experience is that a properly erected Norlight tent/product can withstand a range of weather conditions. However, we cannot offer guidance on that because it depends on a range of different factors. Use of appliances in Norlight tents such as stoves or other cooking or heating devices are completely at the users own risk. Norlight Ltd cannot be held liable or responsible for any injury or damage caused by the operating of any fuel or electrical appliances within the tent or nearby. All necessary fire rules and safety recommendations must always be followed. Similarly we cannot be responsible for any accident or personal injury to users of our tents. Users should take their own reasonable precautions given the nature of these products as would be taken by a prudent user, for example to avoid tripping on tent guy ropes.
13. If our Products are used by Members of the Public
If our products are used for hire to the public, for other commercial purposes, for hospitality or for any other purpose by person who was not the buyer of the products and you find a fault which causes you to issue refunds to your own customers, or paying damages to other people due to injury or any other reason, Norlight Ltd will not be responsible for reimbursing those losses. Likewise, should you experience damage to reputation or loss of business through product fault or any other reason, Norlight Ltd shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred or profits lost. In certain circumstances, entirely at our discretion, we may offer to replace products or make a refund – the maximum amount refunded will not exceed the price paid by you. Norlight Ltd shall not accept responsibility for injuries caused through improper use of our products – it is your responsibility to pitch correctly, check parts regularly, and check weather reports for the event you are attending. If our products are to be used by members of the public, you should have your own public liability insurance to cover all eventualities.
14. Privacy and use of Customer Information
We will take all normal precautions to protect the privacy of any customer information we have. We will not supply customer information to any other person for any purpose. Please see our Privacy Policy.
15. Note on Agreement Between Parties
These terms and conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between the parties. No variation of these terms and conditions shall be valid unless it is in writing and signed by the parties concerned.
16. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice. Any changes will apply to all products supplied after the change to our terms and conditions.
